The internet community followed the connections and concluded the person Dykstra described was none other than the AMC’s Talking Dead host, Chris Hardwick - and the response was swift....

The co-director of Finding Jack, the film intending to resurrect James Dean via CGI, has spoken out about the controversy surrounding the decision. Based on Garth Crocker’s novel of the same name, Finding Jack revolves around Rogan – the character Dean is to appear as – a suicidal soldier who finds a reason to live after bonding with the eponymous military dog, and must save him when 10,000 of the animals are declared to be surplus equipment after the war ends and abandoned to the hostile country....

James Wan is lending his talents as a producer to yet another horror reboot, this time in the form of Arachnophobia. The director of Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring has been taking a break from the horror genre by directing DC’s Aquaman movie for the past couple years. However, over that same period of time, Wan has attached himself as a producer to several in-development horror projects, among them a big screen take on Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers, a Resident Evil movie (or TV show) reboot, and a Swamp Thing TV series for DC’s streaming service....

The JBL Legend CP100 marks the company’s first in-car solution that is compatible with Apple’s CarPlay system, joining the growing number of aftermarket solutions for obtaining Apple’s car infotainment system in older vehicles. The JBL Legend CP100 features a 6.75-inch capacitive touchscreen, as opposed to a resistive touchscreen offered by other head unit manufacturers. Petrich’s application comes in light of a new discovery that Apple’s mobile operating system tracks iOS device’s longitude and latitude. Mitsuru Homma, CEO of Japan Display has suggested that Apple is planning for a big launch of the next iPhone. Speaking to Reuters today, the executive said that the display panel manufacturer’s “biggest client” keeps asking for more units ahead of next week’s September 9th event. The move doesn’t come as a big surprise—Apple does want to have enough units to sell when the phone launches next month—but interestingly, Homma notes that despite many companies seeing declines in smartphone sales in many large markets, Apple seems totally unfazed....
