It’s been nearly three years since the previous art was taken down, back then, the bunny’s destruction led to a public funeral for people to pay their respects. A previous work by Jeremy Fish, the artist is looking to revamp his standing portfolio with new bronze materials.

Artist Jeremy Fish took nine months to create the new sculpture. He raised over $50,000 from the Lower Haight Merchant and Neighbor Association for its re-creation at Berkeley’s Artworks Foundry.

And once the sculpture is up for everyone to love, Fish will be giving away 100 commemorative screen printed posters at a first-come, first-serve basis at Lower Haight’s Upper Playground (220 Fillmore St.)
